So NaNoWriMo.org is down, or slow. It will be ok. I promise.

Hey all-

Mattkinsi here.  The first few days of November, nanowrimo.org gets really, really slow.  Lots of people try to check out the site – today alone, USA Today and the Washington Post had stories about NaNoWriMo.  Thats a whole heck of a lot of people who might try to see what NaNoWriMo is all about.

If you’re trying to get to the site, you probably won’t be able to right now.  That’s ok.  You can enter in your word count in a couple of days (by Nov. 3rd the site generally gets a lot better.)  We’re still here, we’re still writing.

If you want to see the google calendar of events for our write ins, you can see it at

We’re still around in the chatroom, on twitter, on facebook, and your MLs are around on email if need be.  Don’t worry!  We’re still right there with you, writing along side you.

2 Comments:

  1. So, can anybody who is signed up go to the write ins?

  2. Absolutely! A few write ins ask you to RSVP so they know how much space to save. But if you’re a participant in NaNoWriMo, you’re welcome to drop by any of the write ins.
